Louise Petty

A Funeral Service for Louise Petty, age 89, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2014 at the Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bruce Stinson and Rev. Don Rooks officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Jason Petty, Billy Petty, Chad Hawkins, Todd Hawkins, Donald Rooks, and Derek Robinson serving as pallbearers. A visitation will be held Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Louise Petty passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 at her residence. She was born on August 5, 1924 to George V. Wilkins and Lottie (Rhodes) Wilkins in Commerce. She married William C. Petty in Commerce on December 24, 1945; he preceded her in death in 2011. Mrs. Petty was a homemaker, a member of Central Baptist Church, and a member of TOPS.

Mrs. Petty is survived by: daughters, Iva Leigh Harrison of Las Vegas, NV, Sheryl Rooks and husband Don of Sulphur Springs, Shannon Brown and husband Tom of Stansbury Park, UT, and Elaine Lang and husband Bob of Delta, CO; son, Bill Petty and wife Cynthia of Orange County, CA; sister, Florence Scott of Cleburne; grandchildren, Billy Petty, Jason Petty, Andrea Rodrigues, Alissa Melton, Denell Robinson, Donald Rooks, Chad Hawkins, Todd Hawkins, Brooke Hawkins, Jessica Jarrard, Melanie Jarrard, Shelby Jarrard, and Emily Martinez; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her brother, Buren Wilkins.
