Mabel Tinney

November 2, 1912 — August 2, 2010

Funeral services for Mabel Tinney, age 97, of Sulphur Springs, will
be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 10:00 a.m.,
Wednesday, August 4, 2010, with Rev. Brian Bosworth officiating. Interment will follow
at Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to
8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mabel Tinney passed away Monday morning, August 2, 2010 at Hopkins
County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Wood County, on November 2,
1912, the daughter of Amos and Babe Highnote Browning. She married I.
C. "Sam" Tinne. He preceded her in death in 1978. Ms. Tinney was a
seamstress and a chater member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: one sister, Lola Powell, of Groves; one
granddaughter, LeAnne Stokes, of Warner Robbins, GA; one grandson,
Mark Tinney, of Warner Robbins, GA; two great-grandchildren, Sarah
Stokes and Brian Stokes; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by; one son, Truman Tinney; three sisters,
Pluma Mills Hignite, Iris Davis Carston, and Joyce Gunn; three
brothers, Leo Browning, Homer Browning, and Russell Browning; and one
grandson, Bruce Tinney.
