Funeral services for Manuel Medeiros age 87, of Brashear will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Murray-Orwosky Chapel with Father Richard Diehm. Interment will follow in the Brashear Cemetery with Clifton Flemens, Salvador Cuevas, Alex Hernandez, Jesus Hernandez, Jose Hernandez and Victor Gallegos serving as pallbears. Honorary pallbears will be Charles Baskin and Jay Jackson. Visitation will be 6 till 8 pm, Monday, October 04, 2010 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Manuel Medeiros passed away Friday, October 1, 2010, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Ripon, Ca on October 22, 1922, the son of Manuel and Rose Agnes Foster Medeiros. He married Marcia Lynne Davis on October 20, 1974 in Elko, Nevada. She survives. Manuel was a lifelong Dairyman and former president of Dairyman's Association of California. He was of the Catholic faith.
Other survivors include: sons and daughter-in-laws, Marc Edward & Denise Medeiros of Ft Drum, New York, Robert and Donna Boggio of Winnemucca, Nevada, Eric and Brenda Boggio of Jerome, Idaho; sister, Helen Van Brocklin of Ca; grandchildren, Nicolette, Rebeckah, and Karalina Medeiros, Jessica & Megan Boggio, Erica Hubbard, Breanna & Cody Boggio, Justin Coggins, Teri Coggins; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Genivieve Medeiros and Alice Leaming.
