Visitation service for Marylou Fryer, age 77, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mrs. Fryer passed away at Baylor Scott & White Heart Hospital in Plano, Texas, on Thursday, April 2, 2026.
Marylou Fryer was born on June 4, 1948, in Stamford, Connecticut, to the late Raymond and Mildred (Gillespie) Frisbie. Mrs. Fryer attended art school and later served her community as a dedicated Deputy District Clerk until her retirement. Above all, Marylou was a devoted grandmother whose greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She cherished every moment with her grandchildren, offering them unconditional love, guidance, and countless treasured memories. Her kindness, gentle wisdom, and unwavering support left a lasting imprint on all who knew her.
Marylou Fryer is survived by her grandsons, Dustin Fryer, and Sean Fryer; granddaughter, Katelynn Fryer; great-grandchildren; and brother, George Strain of Arizona.
Now, as Marylou Fryer lays to rest, she is reunited with her late son, Scottie Fryer; brothers, Walter Strain, Ralph Strain, Alan Strain, Michael Strain; and sister, Rosemarie Strain.
