Funeral services for Mary Allene James, age 85, formerly of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 30, 2011, with Brother Steve Hamm officiating. Interment will follow at Rockdale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2011, before service time.
Allene Jame passed away Friday morning, May 27, 2011 at the Methodist Medical Center in Dallas. She was born in Hopkins County, on May 23, 1926, the daughter of Earl Luttrell and Flora (Tabor) Luttrell. She married Ollie James in Cumby on May 25, 1947. He preceded her in death in 1978. She was a homemaker and a member of Patrick Baptist Church in Ferris.
Survivors include: five daughters, Barbara Kinnamon of Hallsville, Mildred Hernandez of Princeton, Lanna James Loden, Shelia James, and Shelly Leslie, all of Ferris; son, Frankie Lee James of Ferris; two brothers, Dober Luttrell of Seagoville, Dick Luttrell of Houston; two sisters, Gene Dodd of Sulphur Springs, Edna Earl Fouse of Grapevine; 14 grandchildren, Donna, Debbie, Diana, Denise, Gwendolyn, Stephen, Thomas, Amber, Ashley, Kristy, Erin, Lauren and Ericka; 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by son, Kenneth Speaks, daughter, Becky Gaston; brothers, Curtis, Otis, Raymond, Clifford Luttrell and sister, Lou McDonald.
