Graveside services for Mattie Irvin will be held at Ft. Towson Cemetery in Ft. Towson , Oklahoma on Thursday December 10, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mattie Irvin, age 87, passed away at Medical City Hospital of Dallas, Sunday, December 6, 2009. She was born in Breckenridge on February 15, 1922, the daughter of Walter Ruel Crawford and Callie Mae (Taylor) Crawford. She married Charlie E. Irvin on August 27, 1954. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Mattie Lee Irvin was a homemaker and she was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: two sons, Charles Frank Hertzler and Harold Lee Irvin, both of Cooper; daughter, Margaret Ann Irvin of Port Aransas; four sisters, Eva Faber of Tuska, Oklahoma, Rheba Bates of Irving, Juanita Newby of Dallas and Hilda West of Ft. Worth; five grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sister, Lometa Barfknecht and brother, Buel Crawford.
