Melvin Bell

Funeral services for Melvin Bell, age 74, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted 2:00p.m., Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Walter Hallum officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 17, 2010 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Melvin Bell passed away Wednesday morning, December 15, 2010 in Winnsboro. He was born in Big Spring, on November 27, 1936, the son of Johnnie Bell and Ruby (White) Bell. He married Pat Richardson in Sulphur Springs on April 20, 1956. She preceded him in death. Mr. Bell was a retired accountant for Austin Steel Company , a Salvation Army Bell Ringer at WalMart, and volunteer cook at the Meal-A-Day at the Senior Citizen Center. He was a member of First Family Church in Dallas.
Survivors include: daughter, Melinda Bell of Ft. Worth; son, Bryan Bell of Garland; sister, Melvadean Williams of Kaufman and grandchildren, Johnny Bell and Kaelee Bell. He was preceded in death by his parents.
