Michael Sutterfield

Funeral services for Michael Sutterfield, age 54, of Como, are scheduled for 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2008, at the Black Oak Baptist Church. Rev. Gary Hampton will officiate.

Interment will follow services in the Black Oak Cemetery.

Mr. Sutterfield passed away on Monday morning, January 7, 2008, at his residence. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on May 5, 1953, the son of Home and Katie Moody Sutterfield. He married Cynthia Lynn Estes, in Las Vegas, on July 2, 1982. She survives.

Mr. Sutterfield was a retired glass worker. He was a member of the Winnsboro House of Prayer and served in the U.S. Army, as a paratrooper during the Vietnam War.

Other survivors include: his mother, Katie Baker, of Como; two sons, Jeremy Sutterfield of Sulphur Springs and Michael Sutterfield of Arlington; brothers Robert Sutterfield of Dallas, Donnie Sutterfield of North Carolina, Gene Sutterfield of Grand Prairie, Gary Baker of Dallas, and David Baker and Paul Baker, both of Grand Prairie; a sister, Beth Thompson; and four grandchildren.

Mr. Sutterfield was preceded in death by his father, Homer Sutterfield; a brother, Jimmy Sutterfield; and his step-father, Joe Baker.
