Michael Dwayne Thompson

Michael Dwayne Thompson was born on July 14, 1962, in Fort Worth, Texas, and passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas, due to a brief battle with cancer, at age 64.

Mike was born and grew up in Bluemound, Texas. He was a welder, carpenter, inventor, and licensed water purification specialist for multiple DFW companies. Often saying, "That's what I do, I fix stuff, and I know things", his hobbies included leather working, jewelry crafting, as well as perfecting and flying in his flight simulator.

Mike is survived by wife Shawn Thompson of Springtown, Texas; sons, Michael Thompson II of Springtown, Texas, John Thompson and his wife Jackie of Paradise, Texas, Cory Thompson of Springtown, Texas; brothers, David Jones and Jim and his wife Suzy Thompson of Bluemound, Texas; grandchildren, Jade Thompson, Charlize Thompson, Colton Thompson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth, and mother, Laverne Thompson of Bluemound, Texas, and lifelong family friend Viviene Bellows of Dike, Texas.

A celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date and time.
