Miller Edwards

Funeral services for Miller D. Edwards, age 72, of Cooper, will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 15, 2011. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, with Kyle Thompson, Jordan Thompson, Amos Walker. Mike Coleman, Wesley Coleman, Scotty Stegal, Mark Sandlin, Jonathan Thurman and Derrick Chadwick serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 14, 2011 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Miller D. Edwards passed away Wednesday morning , January 12, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Sulphur Springs, on April 20, 1938, the son of Ollie Edwards and Jewel (Fisher) Edwards. He was a constable in Dallas County for 25 years and he was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: two daughters, Tonjia Edwards and husband, L. J., of Sulphur Springs and Tracey Lynn Thurman and husband, Scott, of Cooper; son, Jeffery D. Edwards and wife, Judy, of Corsicana; two sisters. Wanda Vance of Dallas and D'Ann Honeycutt of Houston; brother, T. L. Edwards of Sulphur Springs; special friend, Delores Edwards of Cooper; grandchildren, Derrick Chadwick, Heather Burks, Leah Thurman, Jonathan Thurman, Lisa Reed. Lynn Flecker, Amanda Edwards and Courtney Edwards and great-grandchildren, Jordan Reed, Nyaisa Reed and Qieshown Flecker. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren.
