M.L. Hoover

A memorial service for M. L. "Mel" Hoover of the Greenpond Community will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 16, 2011, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Mel went home to be with our Lord on Thursday evening, May 12, 2011. He was the son of Francis Leon Hoover and Dora (Reppond) Hoover. He married the love of his life, Netha Bain, on November 13, 1965; she survives. He was a paint and body man and truck driver by profession. He retired from driving. His passion was working in his wood shop but most of all playing and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was "Daddy" to Sherry Hoover Booher and husband, Gaylon, of San Antonio, Angela Murray and husband, Brandon, of Sulphur Springs, Shelly Hoover Busteed of San Antonio, Keisha Hoover Wilcher and husband, Norman, of Greenpond. He was "Pa Pa" to Biondi Spencer of Sulphur Springs, Breona Bevill of DeQuincy, Louisiana, Jake Busteed and wife, Vanessa, of El Paso; Lindsey Booher Hebert and husband, Dustin, of Boerne, Cherish Schepp of Greenpond, Lexi Schepp of Greenpond, Amanda Booher of San Antonio, Cody Hoover of San Antonio and
Waylon and Hannah Hoover of Florida. His joy was his "greats", Kamri and Kylie Spencer of Sulphur Springs, Brennon Smith of DeQuincy, Louisiana, Reese Ashworth of Dequincy, Louisiana, Brilyn Sands, Brinlyn Schepp of Greenpond, Adley Mannon of Sulphur Springs, Brantli Willhite and his "little lady" Byntli Willhite of Greenpond. He is also survived by his brother J. W. Hoover and wife, Jackie, of Dallas; sister, Jo Ann Hoover Coleman of Sulphur Springs. He was a great friend the "Mel Man" and will be greatly missed by us all. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Louise "Elsie" Hoover Pogue; son, Steven Glen Hoover and grandson, Justin Busteed
