Funeral service for Nicolas “Nic” Reamsbottom, age 25, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mr. Reamsbottom passed away at Christus Mother Frances in Sulphur Springs, Texas, on Thursday, June 4, 2026.

Nicolas “Nic” Reamsbottom was born on June 10, 2000, in Sandy, Utah, and passed away on June 4, 2026, just six days shy of his 26th birthday. From an early age, Nic faced challenges most people could never imagine. Nic depended entirely on the love and care of those around him throughout his life. Yet anyone who met Nic quickly learned that his life was not defined by what he could not do. It was defined by his smile. Despite the physical limitations, Nic was one of the happiest people. His smile always lit up the room. Nic loved music, movies, and spending time with family. He was a fan of Marvel superheroes, especially The Hulk. Although confined to a wheelchair, Nic loved movement and adventure. Swimming brought him a sense of freedom. Through the love and determination of his amazing Aunts and Uncles, he experienced adventures many never do, including paragliding and indoor skydiving. For those fleeting moments, he wasn’t limited by a wheelchair. He was simply Nic, enjoying every second. More than anything, Nic loved being surrounded by the people who loved him. Family was his world, and he was ours. While we cannot know all that Nic understood or felt, we trust that our loving Heavenly Father knew him perfectly and loved him completely. We find peace in believing that Nic is now free from his physical limitations and pain. Nic leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, patience, and perspective. He taught us that a meaningful life is not measured by accomplishments, independence, or words spoken. It is measured by the love we share, the joy we bring to others, and the lives we touch along the way.

Nic is survived by his loving parents, Delayne and Kristie Reamsbottom of Sulphur Springs, Texas; his two sisters, Abigail and Stephanie Reamsbottom; and his beloved black lab, Raven.

Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we find peace in knowing that his smile, his faith, and his love will remain with us always.

As we navigate this heartbreaking loss, we are grateful for the many blessings, support, and generosity our family received throughout Nic's life.

To honor his memory, we are working to donate the specialized medical equipment, lifts, mobility devices, and supplies that supported Nic, to other children and families in need. Unfortunately, the costs of dismantling, removing, transporting, and distributing this equipment is significant.

In lieu of flowers, we humbly ask those who feel led to do so to consider making a donation to Nic’s Memorial fund to help us cover some of these expenses and funeral-related costs. Any contribution, regardless of size, will help us pay forward the blessings Nic received throughout his life and continue helping others.
