Odie "Bodie" Bozeman

Funeral service for Odie B. “Bodie” Bozeman Jr, age 72, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel.  Interment will follow at Independent Cemetery, Como.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Mr. Bozeman passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Sunny Springs, Sulphur Springs.

Odie was born on March 17, 1950 in Sulphur Springs, to Odie Sr. and Earnestine (Nash) Bozeman.  He was a Truck Driver and worked for Tyler Pipe. He was a track star and football player.  Odie was a member of Independent Church, Como.

He is survived by his sons, Ronnie Bozeman of Como, Vincent Bozeman of Sulphur Springs, Ryan Bozeman and wife, Tiffany of Como, Lane Bozeman and wife, Alaina of Tyler, Justin Bozeman of Como; ex-wife, Cleorie Bozeman; twelve grandchildren; one great grandchild;  sisters, Connie Dunlap, of Mount Vernon, Delores Smith of Emory, Thelma Hobbs of Emory, Willie Robinson and husband, Hubert of Emory, Swaunice McMillian of Emory, Sandra Mayberry and husband, Norris of Point; brother, Lee Bozeman and wife, Susan of Como; numerous nieces and nephews; special family member, Carolyn Bozeman. 

Bodie was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tommy Bozeman; sister, Lucy Strange and husband, Robert; nephew, Jason Smith, Roderick Bozeman; niece, Marilyn K Dunlap; brothers-in-law; Marshall Dunlap, Elvin Hobbs, Troy McMillian, Robert Smith.
