Ovie Edwards

Funeral services for Ovie Edwards, age 54, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 9, 2010, with Rev. Bruce Stinson officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, with W. G. White, Jr., Donald Betz, Delbert Pickett, Robert May, Neville Stiltner and Richard Cochran serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 8, 2010 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Ovie Edwards passed away at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital, Friday afternoon, November 5, 2010. He was born in Sulphur Springs, on August 30, 1956, the son of Haskell Edwards and Mary (Hoskinson) Edwards. He was a maintenance worker for Norstrom Valves and a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include: mother, Mary Burks of Sulphur Springs; sister, Mary Lou Cochran of Ashland, Kentucky and brother, David Edwards of Hammond, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his father.
