Patricia "Pat" (Meier) Hulen

Patricia Ann Hulen (Meier), 75, passed away on May 30, 2025, in Grand Saline, Texas, surrounded by family.

Pat was born in Whiting, Indiana on May 14, 1950 to Andrew and Catherine Meier. She graduated from Sulphur Springs High School in 1968. In 1971 she earned a Bachelor Degree in Education from East Texas A & M Commerce (ETSU). Pat was an educator in the Dallas area for many years before relocating back to Sulphur Springs to finish her teaching career. Later she supported her husband’s photography business.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, James Hulen; brother, Robert Meier (Dian); sister, Kathy (Meier) Cope; sister-in-law, Linda (Johnson) Meier; and two daughters, Julia Wilhite (Cory), and Rosa Blake (Kirt). She has three grandchildren, Preston Sims, Megan Blake and Harper Wilhite. Pat also has many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, James Meier and William Meier.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 10:00 am at St James Catholic Church in Sulphur Springs. Visitation will be held thirty minutes prior to the service at 9:30 am at the church. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Deport, Texas.
