Funeral services for Patsy Hadaway, age 75, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 14, 2010, with Rev. Sammy Porter and Rev. Jimmy Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow at Lake Creek Cemetery, with Derick Boyd, Jacob Ferrell, Ed Pingel, Johney Ferrell, Jason Jones, Josh Ferrel, Mike Hedges and Mike Womack serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Hoot Hadaway, Jack Sprinkles, Anthony Hancock, Don Edwards, Marvin Stubbs, Bobby Kirby, Lynn Dale Robinson and Men of Martin Springs Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 13, 2010.
Patsy Hadaway passed away Friday evening, September 10, 2010, at Richardson Regional Medical Center in Richardson. She was born in Sulphur Bluff, on January 9, 1935, the daughter of Alvin Gay Hancock and Ova Lou (George) Hancock. She married Gene Hadaway on December 24, 1953. He preceded her in death in 1988. She married Ed Sires. He preceded her in death in 2008. Mrs. Hadaway was a retired seamstress for H. D. Lee Company and she was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: one son, Mike Hadaway of Sulphur Springs; one sister, Gerline Hancock of Emory; two grandchildren, Casie Norris and Hope Ferrell and two great-grandchildren, Preston Norris and Mazie Ferrell. She was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Hadaway ; twin infant daughters, Debra Jan and Rebecca Ann, and one brother, Charles Hancock. Memorials may be made to Lake Creek Cemetery Association, 1641 CR 14760, Paris, Texas 75462.
