Paul Barron Merrell

Memorial service for Paul Barron Merrell, “Barry,” age 76 of Dike, Texas will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 8^th, 2023, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Stubblefield, Charlie Stubblefield, and Timothy J. Merrell. There will be no formal visitation. Mr. Merrell passed away on April 2^nd, 2023.

Paul was born on March 7^th, 1947, in Dallas, Texas to Clifford “Jay” Merrell and Nina Lucille Stubblefield. He graduated high school from H. Grady Spruce in 1965. Paul moved to Sulphur Bluff in 1967 where he was in the dairy industry for the next ten years. In 1977, he started his lifelong dream of owning his own car dealership, Merrell Used Cars. Paul married the love of his life, Aundrea Cleaver, on February 14^th, 1991, in Sulphur Springs, Texas.

Paul is survived by his wife, Aundrea; sons, Doug Merrell and wife, Elaine, Timothy C. Merrell and wife, Kimi, Michael Cleaver; grandchildren, Logan Merrell, Dustin Merrell, Timothy B. Merrell, Morgan Blackmon, Maci Merrell, Marissa Raies, Aiden Cleaver, Madison Williams, and Tessa Robinson Merrell; great grandchildren, Emma Williams, Reagan Williams, and Adelyn Raies; brother, Timothy J. Merrell; sister, Jayne Merrell.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Montgomery Merrell.
