Paulagene Watson

Paulagene Ray Watson of Houston, Texas and more recently Cooper, TX, passed away on, January 24, 2023. She was born March 7, 1930, in Mansfield, TX, the daughter of Ernie Ray and Woodie Switzer Ray. Paulagene married Billie Ray Watson, also of Mansfield, while he was stationed with the U.S. Navy in Jacksonville, Florida. They made their home in Ft. Worth, TX where they raised their family of three children. In 1973 they started Media Services Corporation (MSC) in Houston providing film, press and media services for NASA Johnson Space Center. Paulagene managed MSC following her husband’s passing. Most recently she resided in Cooper, TX where she passed away at home.

Next-of-kin include: Parents: Ernest Ray & Woodie Urene Switzer Ray (both deceased); husband: Billie Ray Watson (deceased); sister: Pauline Camp (deceased); daughter: Janet W. Bell; sons: Ernest (Ernie) Clyde Watson and David Samuel Watson; son-in-law: David Arthur Bell; daughters-in-law: Kay D. Watson and Patty Watson; grandchildren: Catherine Kliewer, Stephen Watson, Bill Watson, Sarah Rowe, Rachel Martin, Joe Watson, Jeremy Bell; 17 great-grandchildren; 9 nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held, January 28, 2023, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home, Sulphur Springs, TX with visitation at 12 PM and funeral service at 1 PM with Pastor Johnny Witherspoon presiding. A graveside ceremony will be held on, 02-01-23, at 11 AM at Forest Park Cemetery in Webster, TX in the Houston area.
