Funeral services for Peggy Ann Whitten Rawlinson will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 3, 2010, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Sammy Porter and Brother Lee Emerson officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, with Mike Womack, Billy Emerson, Tony Hurley, Charlie Brooks, Chad Brooks and Richard Rawlinson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Chandler Brooks, Sonny Pennington, Robert Cook, Mike Hedges, James Waller and Travis Miller. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Peggy Rawlinson passed away at Paris Regional Medical Center, Tuesday evening, August 31, 2010. She was born in Fannin County, on August 22, 1938, the daughter of L. W. Whitten and Gussie (Johnson) Whitten. She married Charles Rawlinson in Dallas on May 28, 1975; he survives. Mrs. Rawlinson was a homemaker and a member of Independence Baptist Church.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Corlis Bauagon and husband, Curtis, of Grand Prairie and Terry Lynn Rawlinson Brooks of Arlington; three sons, Richard Rawlinson and wife, Treva, of Venus, Jimmy Rawlinson and wife, Cynthia, of Mansfield and John Rawlinson and wife, Christina, of Arlington; three sisters, Marie Donaldson of Forney, Laura Durham and husband, Lee, of Henderson and Billie Earwood and husband, J. C. of Garland. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Dorothy Fry and one brother, Doug Whitten. Memorials may be made to Independence Baptist Church.
