Military graveside funeral services for Ralph Stangler, of Sulphur Springs will be 10:00 am, Monday, August 29, 2011 at Sulphur Springs City Cemetery with Rev. Fred Lewis officiating. Visitation will be 3:00 pm till 5:00 pm, Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Ralph Leonard Stangler passed away Friday, August 26, 2011 at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab Nursing Center. He was born on August 31, 1919 in Manly, Iowa, the son of Leonard and Mary Josephine Popp Stangler. He married Dorothy Schaper in Mason City, Iowa on July 6, 1939. She preceded him in death in 2008. He served in the United States Army during War World II. He was member of First Baptist Church of Sulphur Springs.
Survivors include: daughter, Sandra Klein and husband, Bob of Yantis; grandchildren, Angela & Dale Hintz, and Bradley Wilson; great grandchildren, Jeremy, Matthew and Savanna Hintz; sister, Marcella Hermanson; and sister-in-law, Betty Leigh and husband, Ralph.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Dorothy Stangler.
