Randy "Pops" Wells

Randy “Pops” Wells, age 70, of Whitesboro, Texas, passed away at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas, on Thursday, April 9, 2026. A family-led celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Randy Wells was born on September 13, 1955, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to the late Ned Arthur and Antonia (Caravalho) Wells. He married Rebecca "Becky" Franklin in Benton, Arkansas, on January 28, 1979. Randy earned his degree in Aircraft Maintenance Management and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he built a long and dedicated career as a mechanic, working with E-Systems, Raytheon, and L3, where he spent over 20 years contributing his skill and expertise.

Randy Wells is survived by his wife, Becky Wells of Whitesboro, Texas; daughter, Cheryl Howerton and husband R.J. of Whitesboro; son, Ryan Wells and wife Myndi of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Avery Howerton, Evan Howerton, Luke Wells, Maddy Wells; sisters, Sylvia Green of Aubrey, California, Dollie Horan of Omaha, Nebraska; and his second family, Texas Glory 18 U.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
