Rhonda Carroll

Funeral service for Rhonda Carroll, age 66 of Como, TX will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Como, TX with L.D. Baxley officiating. Interment will follow at Como Cemetery with Tony Shadix, Bobby Rhoades, Rodney Taylor, Roger Caudle, Jimmy Caudle and Junior Cotten serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mrs. Carroll passed away on May 25, 2022.

Rhonda was born on June 28, 1955 in Sulphur Springs, TX to Daulton Ray and Ruby Fay (Walls) Cotten. She married James Carroll on October 18, 1975 in Como, TX. Rhonda worked as an Activity Director at Sunny Springs Nursing Home. She never missed a chance to go to garage sales or help anyone that needed it. Rhonda was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Como.

She is survived by her daughters, Christy Welch and husband, William, Crystal Garcia and husband, Rick; son, Anthony Gates and wife Audrey; grandchildren, Destiny Welch and husband Eric Brown, Danielle Welch, DezaRay White, James Welch, Nicole Welch, Alex Gates and Ashley Gates; great grandchildren, Emmercin, Marley, Asher, Corbin, Brooklynn, Kaden, Ashlynn, Lyric, Echo, Lane, Brycen and Ariana; brother, Ricky Cotten and wife Brenda and sister, Tajuana and husband Shane Looney; numerous nieces and nephews.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, Daulton and Ruby Cotten; husband, James Carroll and brother, James Ray Cotten.
