Richard Thompson

Richard Thompson, age 56, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, passed away at Christus Mother Frances Hospital of Tyler, on Thursday, February 27, 2025.

Richard Lewis Thompson was born on August 10, 1968, in Sulphur Springs, Texas, to Simon Green and Betty Lou (Kelly) Thompson. He worked as a stocker for Brookshire’s Groceries for over 20 years. 

Richard is survived by his sister, Lyn Harkins (Robert); nieces, Betty Mills (Richard Roberts), Letitia Hughes, and Amy Burks (Richard); nephew, Eric Harkins (Toni); and great-nephews, Shane Mills, Travis Mills, and Jesse Mills.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Betty Thompson; sisters, Judy Mills and Karen Pickett; and nephew, David Pickett.
