Rick Johnson

Graveside service for Rick Johnson, age 62, of Cypress, Texas will be held at 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Salem Cemetery in Alba, Texas with Buddy Wiggins officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Mr. Johnson passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.

Ricky Dale Johnson was born on February 8, 1962 in Stamford, Texas to Larry Gale and Billie Marie (Prickett) Johnson. Rick was a contractor in the construction business for many years. He enjoyed competition cooking, riding motorcycles, playing guitar, and music in general.

Rick is survived by his sons, Michael Johnson of Plano, Texas, Nicholas Johnson of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; grandchildren, Judith Johnson, Greyson Johnson, Lexi Johnson; brother, Dee Johnson and wife Kim of Howe, Texas, sister, Lynn Mann and husband Bobby of Van Alstyne, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Billie Johnson.
