Robert Carroll

A military graveside service, under the direction of the Hopkins County Military Coalition, for Bob Carroll, 84, of Waxahachie, formerly of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at Conner Cemetery at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2011. Honorary pallbearers will be the senior adult class of Davis Street Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Bob Carroll passed away at his residence Sunday evening, December 25, 2011. He was born in Sulphur Springs May 17, 1927, the son of Leander Craton Carroll and Maidie Pearl (Giddens) Carroll. He married Betty Ruth Gillham in Sulphur Springs in 1953. She preceded him in death in 2003. He was a retired washer/dryer repairman with Sears Roebuck and a member of Davis Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include: daughter, Catherine Finnell and husband John of Waxahachie and sister Jo Nell Cleveland of Baytown. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Memorials may be made to Davis Street Baptist Church and/or Conner Cemetery Association.
