Robert Grubbs

Funeral services for Robert Henry Grubbs, age 61 of Sulphur Springs will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Pastor William Maksoud officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with the following nephews and grandsons serving as pallbearers Bradley Harmon, Curtis Harmon, Jason Grubbs, Daniel Fisher, Dustin Fisher, Nick Harmon, Bryan Cooey and Scott Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Cooey and Juston Grubbs. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Grubbs passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2015 of heart failure. He was born in Dallas, TX on September 11, 1953, the son of Henry an Billie Grubbs. He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Rockdale Baptist Church.
Survivors include: wife, Barbara Gurbbs; son, Jacob Grubbs; daughter, Tammy Lawson; niece, Jennifer Cooey; brother, Calvin Grubbs; sisters, Helen Goldsmith, Bobbie Litton, Brenda Grubbs and Cindy Modrall; brother-in-law, Greg Berry; grandchildren, Daniel Fisher, Dustin Fisher, Leah Fisher, Rachael Grubbs, Lauryn Grubbs and Luke Grubbs; great-grandchildren, Breighden Alexander Lee Fisher and Aiden Robert Lee Fisher.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Henry and Billie Grubbs; sister, Jean; brother, Jimmy and nephew, Chris Harmon.
