Funeral Service for Rodney Pool, age 60, of Yantis will be held 10:00 am, Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lloyd Cashions, Bro. Jimmy Gulledge, and Bro. BJ Teer officiating.. With a military graveside under the direction of the Hopkins County Military Coalition to follow in the Greenpond Cemetery with H.E. Pool, Brad Wetzel, Danny Harris, David Therwhanger, Robert Hooper and Brian Coker serving as pallbearers. Visitation will 6 till 8 pm Monday, October 15, 2012 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Rodney Warren Pool passed away on Friday, October 12, 2012 at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler. He was born in Sulphur Springs on January 18, 1952 the son of Cubert and Chesaline Cain Pool. He married Debbie Teer in Como on March 18, 1977. She survives. He was Diesel Mechanic for Ballard Trucking Company. Rodney was member of the Greenpond Baptist Church and served in the United States Army.
Other survivors include: two sons, Jeremy Pool of Yantis, and Richard Pool of Tyler; mother, Chesaline Frank and husband Bob of Eastland; brother, Steve Pool of Dallas; sister, Sherry Therwhanger and husband, Phillip of Sulphur Springs; father in law and mother in law, Valton and Merlene Teer of Como.
He was preceded in death by father and step mother, Wanda Pool.
Memorials may be made to the family help with medical and funeral cost.
