Ronnie Sharp

Funeral services for Ronnie Sharp, age 54, of Quitman and formerly of Sulphur Springs, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 16, 2008, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Darryl Pixley will officiate.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 15, 2008, at the funeral home.

Mr. Sharp passed away on Friday evening, January 11, 2008, at Hospice of East Texas, in Tyler. He was born in Sulphur Springs, on November 13, 1953, the son of Roland Elmo and Lula Bell Petree Sharp. He married Virginia Anne Honeycutt, in Sulphur Springs, on June 11, 1994. She survives.

Mr. Sharp was a retired police officer for the Sulphur Springs Police Department.

Other survivors include: four daughters, Jennifer Morales of White Rock, Jodi Zenns, Barbie Renee' Hooker, and Morgan Sharp, all of Quitman; four sons, Brandon Sharp of Phoenix, AZ, Stephen Sharp, and Billy Sharp, both of Fresno, CA, and Jason Smith of Live Oak, Florida; two sisters, Belinda Martin and Debbie George, both of Sulphur Springs; a brother, Danny Ballard, of Sulphur Springs; and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Donna Edwards; and one brother, Billy Sharp.
