Shirley Orr

Funeral services for Shirley Orr, age 74, of Winnsboro, will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 19, 2010, with Rev. Kevin Brown officiating. Interment will follow at North Hopkins Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Shirley Orr passed away at her residence on Saturday, May 15, 2010. She was born in the Grubbs Community on September 8, 1935, the daughter of Elmer Grubbs and Flossie (Wesson) Grubbs. She married Jack Murphy Orr in Durant, Oklahoma, on December 26, 1952. He preceded her in death in 1990. Mrs. Orr was a retired computer technician for Texas Instruments and a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: two sons, Jack David Orr of Dennison and James Murphy Orr of Dallas; two daughters, Cathy Jean Morgan of Cumby and Carolyn Joan Whalen of Georgetown; two sisters, Ralphie Harrod of Yantis and Peggy Gamblin of De Soto; two brothers, Kenneth Grubbs of Quitman and Junior Grubbs of Lakin, Kansas, and grandchildren, Sonia Morgan, Johnny Morgan, Sarah Whalen, Brent Whalen, Andrea Henderson and Shannon Severson. She was preceded in death by brother, Nolan "Buck" Grubbs.
