Tanya Smiddy

A funeral service for Tanya Smiddy, age 39, of Sulphur Springs (Tira), will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Joel Tiemeyer and Linda Rankin officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Muray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Tanya Smiddy passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Hopkins County, on July 10, 1973, the daughter of Ronald Joe Smiddy, Sr. and Brenda Lou (O'Shields) Smiddy. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: her mother; brother, Ronald Joe Smiddy, Jr.; sister, Rachelle Sills and husband, Ron; nieces and nephews, Justin Corey Smiddy, Joe Chance Smiddy, Chastin Summer Smiddy, Rheston Jobrey Sills and Rylan James Sills; great-niece, Jailee Chay Smiddy; her dog, Rascal, and Cardiologist and special friend, John Tim Bricker. She was preceded in death by her father; grandparents, Fred and Opal O'Shield and Merle and Eva Lee Smiddy and her soul mate, Casey Crosby. Memorials may be made to the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Texas at Houston, 6410 Fannin, #360, Houston, Texas 77030 and/or Hopkins County Animal Protection League.
