Tom Skeen

Funeral service for Tom Skeen, age 92 of Dike, Texas will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Donnie Powers officiating. Interment will follow at Nelta Cemetery with George Alan Robinson, Robert Henson, Richard Hankins, Chad Joslin, Glenn Ewton and Micah McCarty serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mr. Skeen passed away on January 5, 2023 at Christus Mother Frances – Sulphur Springs.

Tom was born on May 11, 1930 to Barney and Alma Alice (Chester) Skeen. He married LaNeva Hargrave on June 2, 1956 in Sulphur Bluff, Texas. Tom was married to the love of his life for 66 years. He worked for the Texas Department of Transportation.

He is survived by his wife, LaNeva; sons, Clifford Edward Skeen and Curtis Lee Skeen; sisters, Edna Hoover and Dorethia Hall; brother, David Skeen; grandchildren, Monica Faye Campbell, Tamara Ann Foley and Miranda Ruth Irwin; great grandchildren, Makala Leeann Covington, Phaedra Hunt, Lexi Hunt, JR Covington and Charlotte Rose Campbell; great-great grandchildren, Aspen Sturrock and Alayna Sturrock.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Glenn Skeen, Syble Skeen, Wonda Wilson, Bill Skeen, Wendell Skeen, Duane Skeen, Marlon Skeen and Loretta Skeen; granddaughter, Heather Skeen.
