Tommie Lee Raines passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at the age of 92.

She was born on January 26, 1934, in Sulphur Springs, Texas, to Lethar and Dora Kenemore. Tommie had three siblings that she loved dearly. She had two sisters, Mary Jones and Frances Goldsmith, and one brother, Harvey Kenemore.

Tommie lived a life that was defined by the love of God. Because of God’s great love for her, Tommie loved others well and saw each person as precious. Tommie had a gift for making genuine connections with the people she encountered throughout her life. Her example of kindness, humility, and generosity inspired others to walk faithfully with the Lord.

Tommie spent 48 years of diligent service at the offices of Winburn Milk Company, where she developed many wonderful friendships. She found her years at Winburn Milk very rewarding and always expressed how thankful she was for the ways God provided for her and her family.

Tommie was the loving matriarch to a large family that includes her three daughters, LeAnn Burks, Mary Watson, and Kelly Moss, along with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Tommie’s home was filled with warmth and welcome. It served as a place for the family to gather and share meaningful times around her kitchen table.

She served her family joyfully and faithfully through constant prayer and by pointing them towards the wisdom of God’s Word. Tommie’s faith in God’s providence allowed her to persevere through life’s toughest moments. Tommie encouraged her family to invest in God’s eternal kingdom and the things that will not fade. She lived life with the blessed assurance that only comes from knowing Christ as Lord and Savior.

Tommie is survived by her loving daughters, LeAnn (Roger) Burks, Mary (Steve) Watson, and Kelly Raines Moss; her precious grandchildren Aleisha (Rob) Adair, Amber (Nathan) Sheridan, April (Justin) Sherer, Cheryl (Conrad) Jones, Hollie (Thomas) Peace, Hailey (James) Allen, Karoline Moss, Kohen Moss, and Kessler Moss and great grandchildren Kierstyn, Trace, Travis, Austin, Nathaniel, Jonathan, Natalie, Titus, Elias, Sayla, Silas, Justus, Jonas, Jordan, Audrey, and Autumn. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews, and one brother-in-law and sister-in-law. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and Billy Raines.

Tommie walked this life by faith and now walks in eternity by sight. She would always tell her family, “It is a good thing to give thanks,” and we will be giving thanks to God for the precious gift she was until we are reunited in glory.
