A memorial service for Tressie Mae Smith Baker, 77, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Jimmy Don Goldsmith and Tommy Howard officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
Tressie Mae Smith Baker passed away at her residence Friday, November 18, 2011. She was born in Hopkins County September 14, 1934, the daughter of Frank Williams and Tressie (Walls) Williams. She married Levi David "Dee" Baker; he survives. She was a retired respiratory therapist and a member of First Baptist Church.
Other survivors include: four sons, James Henry Howard, Sr. of Celeste, Thomas William Howard, Jr., Russell Dean Smith and Carl Wayne Smith; daughter, Rose Mary Kamalsky; brother, Billy J. Williams; sister, Shirley Story, all of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Candice Kittrell, Matt White, Jason Howard, James Howard, Jr., Tommy Howard, Jr., Christina Chambliss, Drucilla Howard McGary, Destiny Gustafson, Meagan Smith, Haley Hamilton, Colton Hamilton, Jennifer Smith, Tory Hamilton, Johnny Smith, Patty Smith, Casey Smith, Carly Smith, Amy Hall Harrington, Torie Lambe, Brooke Howard, Robert "Scooter" Howard, Jr. Michelle Hogue and Brenda Hogue and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three children, Susie Ann Goldsmith, Nora Jean Howard Hogue and Robert Gene Howard, Sr. and three brothers, Earl Williams, Frankie Williams and Robert Lee Williams and grandchild, Laveta Wright and her parents.
