Yvonne Brewer

Funeral service for Yvonne Brewer, age 87, of Como, Texas, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home, with Terry Bolton officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mrs. Brewer passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

Yvonne Brewer was born on July 21, 1939, in Jal, New Mexico, to the late Floyd and Bertha (Paige) Bowling. She married the late Flavy Brewer in Gladewater, Texas, on September 2, 1960. Yvonne dedicated many years of her career as a secretary and receptionist at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab, where her caring nature and warm personality touched the lives of those around her. In her free time, she found joy in crocheting and creating beautiful handmade pieces for those she loved. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was a devoted member of Greenpond Baptist Church.

Yvonne is survived by her daughter, Raynetta Hughes (Rick); sons, Kevin Brewer, and wife Tammy, Melton Brewer, and wife Kimberly; grandchildren, Brianne Fisher, Shane Brewer, Hope Brewer, Harrison Brewer; great-grandchildren, Walker Brewer, Roselyn Brewer, Jacklyn Brewer; and her beloved dog, Princess.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Avon Bowling.
