A.D. Cupp

June 14, 1930 — September 1, 2020

Funeral service for A.D. Cupp, age 90, of Saltillo, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Weaver Baptist Church with Bro. Tom Friday officiating and Bro. Vern Hawkins assisting.  Interment will follow at New Pickton Cemetery with Tommy Maly, Jonah Schumpert, Doug Scott, Bobby Boyte, Blake Joslin, Jeff Boyte, Jay Boyte, and Scott Boyte serving as pallbearers and Dennis Campbell, Robert Flewelling, Bobby Joslin and Jim Boyte serving as honorary pallbearers.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.   His life was well lived and well loved.  The Lord called him home on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 with his family by his side.

Arvry Dillard was born on June 14, 1930 in Cullman, AL to Ervin and Leona (Fortenberry) Cupp.  He married Joyce Campbell Schumpert on September 17, 1994 in Ft. Worth, TX.  Arvry spent his life as a hardworking, dedicated, faithful, and loving man.  He was employed by Container Corporation of America, where he late retired after thirty years.    He proudly served in the US Army as a tank driver.  A.D was a deacon and member of Weaver Baptist Church.  He had a longstanding relationship with the Lord and stood firm in his faith to his dying breath.

This loving, caring, and wonderful man has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts and will be dearly missed by his wife and best friend of 25 years, Joyce and his daughters, Kathy Boyte and husband, Jim, Denise Maly and husband, Tommy, Andrea Joslin and husband, Bobby and son, Eddie Schumpert and wife, Gayle.  He was proud and honored to be grandfather to 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 9 nine great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Leona Cupp; four brothers, Hollis Cupp, Avry Cupp, Barney Cupp and Larry Cupp; sisters, Pauline Cupp and Audeen Bostick; his son, Jeffrey Cupp; granddaughter, Aimee Dawn Scott; great grandson, Aiden Joshua Rincon and his first love and the mother of his children, Jenette Taylor Cupp.
