Connie Thompson

Funeral service for Connie Thompson age 78, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Matinburg Cemetery, in Pine, Texas. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 25th, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Connie passed away on Friday morning, January 22, 2021 at home. Please follow COVID-19 guidelines if you are planning to attend the service.

Connie Thompson was born January 8th, 1943 in Winnsboro to Aubrey Heflin and Edna Massey Heflin. She married Jerry Thompson in Mesquite in June of 1959. She worked as a seamstress for H.P. Lee, and as a caretaker.

Connie is survived by her son, James Thompson; grandchildren, Colby  Taylor Thompson and wife Courtney Thompson, James Evan Thompson and Christopher Alan Thompson; sister, Sue Bedford, and sister-in-law, Reba Evelyn Williams.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Edna Heflin; husband Jerry Thompson; son Jerry Alan Thompson; and brothers, Harold Heflin, Garrin Heflin, Bill Heflin.
