Doyle Spurgin

Graveside service for Doyle Bernard Spurgin, age 77, of Brashear, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Brashear Cemetery with Ray Spurgin, Zachary Spurgin, Barry Spurgin, Dakota Jack Spurgin, Michael Phillips and Ethan Phillips serving as pallbearers.  There will be no formal visitation.  Mr. Spurgin passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2019, at Christus Mother Frances Hospital, Sulphur Springs, TX

Doyle was born on June 13, 1942 in Collin County to O.M. and Nova Spurgin.  He was a fireman for many years and owned his own business. Doyle was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and John Wayne. He loved to fish, loved his family and was a hard worker.

He is survived by his children, Doyle Spurgin, Karen Phillips and husband, Michael, Ray Spurgin and wife, Sheila, Barry Spurgin, Christopher Spurgin, Beki Spurgin; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Doyle was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Wayne Spurgin.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to American Heart Association.
