Shirley Goodson

Funeral service for Shirley Goodson, age 74, of Dike, TX, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel.  Interment will follow at Tira Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Friday, September 20, 2019 from 6 to 8 P.M. Mrs. Goodson passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Rock Creek Health and Rehabilitation, in Sulphur Springs.

Shirley was born on October 24, 1944 in Odessa, TX to Daniel and Willie Posey.  She married Gearl Goodson in Mt. Vernon. on November 4, 1961.  Shirley worked as a home health caregiver.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda White and husband, Jimmy, Sharon Wright and husband, Timothy Jr.; sons, Earl Goodson and wife, Ruby, David Goodson and his wife, Vickie; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; brothers, Danny Posey, Billy Posey; and sister, Pam Monds.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter, Jeannie Hargrave.
