Jeff Orwosky

Owner / Funeral Director

Jeff Orwosky was born and raised in Sulphur Springs. He graduated from Sulphur Springs High School and the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. He became a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in 1982. He has three sons, Price, Lincoln, and Austin. Jeff is an accomplished Instrument Rated Pilot, Eagle Scout, and is a member of the Sigma Chi Social Fraternity. He enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, flying, and golfing.

Sue Orwosky

Funeral Director

Sue Orwosky is a proud mother of seven. She also has six grandchildren. She moved to Sulphur Springs in 1997 from Omaha, Nebraska and has been a part of Murray-Orwosky since 2000. She loves to cook, entertain, and spend time with her family.

Price Orwosky

Funeral Director

Price Orwosky, Jeff’s oldest son, is a third generation Funeral Director and Embalmer. A graduate of Texas Christian University and the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, Price has been serving families since 2010. He is an Eagle Scout, a private pilot, and a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.

Dustin Edwards

Manager/Funeral Director

Dustin was born in Sulphur Springs Texas and has lived in East Texas all his life. He graduated Como-Pickton High School and after graduation started his first job in the funeral service. He attended Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. In his spare time you can find Dustin out on the lake fishing.

Laura Orwosky-Garrett

Funeral Director

Laura grew up in the funeral business and graduated from Dallas Institue of Funeral Service. Laura is quite often the friendly face that you will meet during a funeral service. Laura and her husband, Randy have two children and two grandchildren and when not at the funeral home, she can be found enjoying family activities, camping and cruising to tropical places.

Jack Orwosky

Funeral Director

Jack Orwosky is a second generation Funeral Director and Embalmer. He was born and raised in the business and became a licensed Mortician in 1989. He has two children and is an avid fisherman.

Karon Weatherman

Office Manager

Karon is the voice and face that greets you when you enter Murray-Orwosky. Karon was the Director of the Sulphur Springs Senior Citizens Center and the Meal A Day Program for almost 22 years before joining the team at Murray Orwosky Funeral Home. Karon likes to cook, play scrabble and spending time with her family.

Shelby Wagner

Family Affairs Coordinator

Shelby Wagner is an Oklahoma State University graduate with 34+ years of experience working for several major corporations in the Dallas area. She works closely with each family and makes sure the funeral planning process is seamless. Shelby and her husband live in the Lake Fork area. She loves to travel, shop, and spend time with her family.

Sharon Price

Funeral Assistant / Night Attendant

Sharon Campbell Price has been part of the Murray-Orwosky family since 1997. She was born and raised in Sulphur Springs. Sharon and her husband Larry have two daughters, Mandi and Kelli and five wonderful grandchildren, Alex, Andrew, Cason, Catie and Nathan . Sharon enjoys attending the many activities the grandchildren are involved in and in her spare time does a little reading, jigsaw puzzles and fishing.

Katherine Hunsucker

Receptionist / Funeral Assistant

Katherine is a native of Lone Oak and joined the Murray-Orwosky team in 2022. You will quite often see Katherine at services and vistations. Katherine also has her BS in Animal Science from TAMUC. She spends her free time enjoying reading, gardening and spending time with family.

Buddy Wiggins

Funeral Assistant

A native Texan, Buddy hails from Gatesville and he worked for the postal service for 31 years before retiring to Sulphur Springs. Buddy and his wife, Brenda have three daughters. He is an Elder at League Street Church of Christ, where he teaches adult bible classes. Buddy’s hobbies include golf, traveling and the great outdoors.

Randy Garrett

Funeral Assistant

Retired dairyman and award winning Fedex Custom Critical Driver with his wife for over 20 years, Randy now enjoys his time assisting wherever he is needed. You can find Randy greeting families, driving the coach, delivering flowers and most certainly visiting with people and bringing sunshine to their day with his warn smile and contagious postive attitude. When not at "work", Randy enjoys classic cars and tractor shows and watching his grandchildren play sports.

Murray Orwosky

Greif Support

Born September of 2019, Murray was chosen from his litter to serve best as a therapy dog. Murray is a Labradoodle and serves as a comfort to all who visit our funeral home. He is extremely friendly and loves people, yet exudes a very gentle and calming presence.
