Jeff Orwosky

Jeff Orwosky

Owner / Funeral Director

Jeff Orwosky was born and raised in Sulphur Springs. He graduated from Sulphur Springs High School and the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. He became a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in 1982. He has three sons, Price, Lincoln, and Austin. Jeff is an accomplished Instrument Rated Pilot, Eagle Scout, and is a member of the Sigma Chi Social Fraternity. He enjoys spending time with his family, bowling, snow-skiing, water-skiing, flying, playing tennis, and golfing.

Sue Orwosky

Sue Orwosky

Funeral Director

Sue Orwosky is a proud mother of seven. She also has six grandchildren. She moved to Sulphur Springs in 1997 from Omaha, Nebraska and has been a part of Murray-Orwosky since 2000. She loves to cook, entertain, and spend time with her family.


Price Orwosky

Funeral Director / Pre-Need Counselor

Price Orwosky, Jeff’s oldest son, is a third generation Funeral Director and Embalmer. He graduated from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth in 2010 and the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 2011. He is an Eagle Scout, a private pilot, and a member of the League Street Church of Christ, Rotary Club of Sulphur Springs, and the Sigma Chi Fraternity.

Jack Orwosky is a second generation Funeral Director and Embalmer. He was born and raised in the business and became a licensed Mortician in 1989. He has two children and is an avid fisherman.


Hesston Taylor

Manager

Hesston Taylor is a Sulphur Springs native. He graduated from Sulphur Springs High School in 2007 and has been involved with Murray-Orwosky since January of 2010. When Hesston isn’t working, he enjoys playing golf and being outdoors.


Ronnie Day

Ronnie Day

Cemetery Services / Funeral Director

Ronnie Day grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas and is a graduate of Grand Prairie High School. He began working in the funeral business in Grand Prairie in 1968 for Southland Funeral Home. He attended Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science and graduated in 1971. Ronnie was owner of Totten-Day Funeral Home in Electra, Texas from 1982 to 1989 but his total employment there was from 1979 to 1996. Ronnie and his wife Mary are happy to call Sulphur Springs home. They are members of The First United Methodist Church of Sulphur Springs. They have 2 sons, Brian and Brandon, and a daughter, Lucenda, and 4 grandchildren.


Eve Vavra

Eve Vavra

Director of Funeral Service Operations

Eve Vavra joined the Murray-Orwosky team in January of 2017 and currently serves as Director of Funeral Operations and Advanced Planning Specialist.  Eve brings forth knowledge of the funeral industry having previously worked for International Funeral Associates, a membership organization of independent, family-owned funeral homes throughout North America and as a underwriter for pre-need insurance company. Eve provides administrative support to the funeral directors, as well as caring, compassionate customer service and support to all families she serves.

Edna Walker

Edna Walker

Funeral Home Assistant

Edna Walker is a lifetime resident of Hopkins County. She has worked in the office at Murray-Orwosky for over 30 years and has dealt with almost every aspect of the office work. Edna is the pianist at North Liberty Baptist Church and enjoys shopping at garage-sales.


Sharon Price

Sharon Price

Funeral Home Assistant

Sharon Campbell Price has been part of the Murray-Orwosky family since 1997. She was born and raised in Sulphur Springs and graduated high school from Chapel Hill High School. She married Larry Price in 1976 and they have two daughters, Mandi Mckinney and Kelli Foster and husband, Johnny. She has two grandsons, Alex Ferrell and Andrew McKinney and three step-grandchildren, Cason, Catie, and Nathan Foster. Sharon enjoys her family, reading, jigsaw puzzles, fishing, and her dog, Abby.
